JUNE 8 at Holocene
One of our favorite Portland spots (Holocene we love you!) invited Woolly to curate a night in June. We’re still working out the details but expect dance band, drone band, a performance by Woolly, and for sure the very talented painter, musician, multi-media artist, Jason Traeger, will be doing a stand-up comedy routine. http://vimeo.com/15485514
The proceeds will benefit a couple friends of ours who have recently (separately) sustained major traumas.

IN RESIDENCE AT PIETER PASD

On the road! Woolly will be in LOS ANGELES! We will be in residence at this awesome forward-thinking studio run by one of the members of the ever-intelligent, elegant, boundary-pushing dance group MGM. We teach a class on Thursday JUNE 23 and perform on Saturday JUNE 25.
And now for the GHOST OF WOOLLY PAST:
So much has happened in the past several months, the biggest of which being our performance at TBA10. It is more than an understatement to say that it was a memorable and enjoyable night.
Actually, sitting here looking out the window at Portland’s identity crisis called Spring, the thought of that night wells me up with warm feelings of summer, friends, dancing and really creepy facial make-up. It was so incredible and we are still thankful to everyone who helped make it happen, especially our hosts PICA, our collaborators White Rainbow & The Slaves, our friends who shared the evening, The Miracles Club & Tunnels, and all the WOOLLY DANCERS!. We will never forget it. It was such a powerful night, it was almost as if we got married to someone or something. Maybe it was the feeling of deepening our commitment to dance, performance and music, to each other, and our love of sharing it all with friends and strangers in order to deepen old connections and form new ones. Or maybe we just married SATAN (Church Lady voice?). No matter what, it was made of love.
